After an early breakfast, drive to Marangu Gate, the entrance to Kilimanjaro National Park, where you will complete the registration formalities before beginning your trek. The trail winds through a lush tropical rainforest filled with towering trees, vibrant birdlife, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. The gentle ascent provides an excellent introduction to the climb while allowing you to enjoy the rich biodiversity of the mountain. Today's acclimatization day is an important part of your climb, giving your body time to adjust to the higher altitude while improving your chances of reaching the summit. After breakfast, take a guided acclimatization hike towards Mawenzi Hut, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro's rugged landscape before returning to Horombo Hut for lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing, hydrating, and preparing for the higher elevations ahead while your guides monitor your progress and well-being.

After breakfast, leave the vegetation behind as you cross the vast alpine desert known as "The Saddle," a broad plateau stretching between Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks. The scenery becomes increasingly dramatic and barren, offering panoramic views of Kilimanjaro's volcanic landscape. Upon arrival at Kibo Hut, enjoy an early dinner and spend the evening resting, as your summit attempt begins shortly before midnight. Trek by headlamp under a star-filled sky, steadily ascending the volcanic slopes to Gilman's Point on the crater rim. From here, continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa, arriving in time to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the glaciers and surrounding plains. After celebrating your incredible achievement and capturing memorable photographs, descend carefully back to Kibo Hut for refreshments before continuing to Horombo Hut for a well-earned rest.
