Itinerary
Hotel Pickup: Begin your adventure with a private transfer from Uchira Country HomesArrival at Marangu Gate: After a scenic 30mn drive, arrive at the Marangu Gate, the official entry point to Kilimanjaro National Park. Register with park authorities before starting your hike.
Start of Trek: Follow the Marangu Route, approaching Kilimanjaro from the southeast. The trail winds through lush rainforest and offers glimpses of the mountain’s grandeur.
Picnic Lunch en Route: Enjoy a packed lunch along the trail as you make your way toward the Mandara Hut.
Mandara Hut Rest Stop: Reach the Mandara Hut, the first overnight stop for summit climbers. Pause here for about 30 minutes to rest and soak in the atmosphere.
Descent to Marangu Gate: Begin the 2.5-hour descent back down the trail, retracing your steps through the forest.
Return to Marangu Gate: Your Vehicle will be waiting to collect you for the transfer to Uchira Country Homes
Arrival in your Hotel: After a full day of adventure, arrive back at Uchira Country Homes with unforgettable memories of Kilimanjaro’s lower slopes.
