11-Day Mount Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route Climb

The Lemosho Route is considered one of the finest routes on Mount Kilimanjaro, offering spectacular scenery, excellent acclimatization, and one of the highest summit success rates. This extended 9-day ascent provides additional time at altitude, allowing your body to acclimatize gradually and significantly improving your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa.

Beginning on the quiet western slopes of the mountain, you’ll journey through pristine rainforest, rolling moorland, alpine desert, dramatic volcanic landscapes, and glacier-covered summit terrain before descending through the lush southern rainforest. This itinerary is ideal for climbers seeking the highest level of comfort, safety, and summit success.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by Usari Safaris and Tours representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. After check-in, meet your head mountain guide for a comprehensive pre-climb briefing, equipment inspection, and an opportunity to ask any questions before your adventure begins. After breakfast, depart for Londorossi Gate where registration formalities are completed before beginning your trek. Hike through the lush montane rainforest, keeping an eye out for black-and-white colobus monkeys and other forest wildlife. Arrive at Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree) Camp in the afternoon, where your tents will already be prepared for your first overnight on the mountain.
